These baskets are a delight to make and they are perfect for putting your lunch in when off to work. We will have a variety of willows to choose from and will be adorning our finished product with a leather handle. A really lovely workshop for those who have woven before and those who haven’t.

Everyone with a log burner or open fire will need a log basket, what’s more beautiful than your very own hand crafted masterpiece sitting next to the fire. This is for those who have had some experience but beginners are also welcome, just let me know which catergory you fall in to. We will have a choice of willow varieties and colour to work with and will experiment with diferent weaves creating different patterns. A really lovely couple of days spent weaving.

The Irish potato skib was a common place basket found hanging outside the Irish farmhouse. Used for washing and sometimes serving the potato’s in. Nowadays they are a beautiful and decorative low walled basket often woven with vibrant colours and decorative. They make useful fruit baskets or nik nak holders and are beautiful hanging on a wall in the home.
